Goodbye Monarch, Hello Black Bay

2019 was a year of MASSIVE change for me. My marital status, my place of residence, my job, and my name.

It was also the year that I truly started LIVING, and recognized that for the first time in many years, I had the freedom to live my life on my terms. I discovered far more about myself and my needs than I expected, and my career grew in ways that I never expected.

Space Mari

This was a recent project I did for a lighting course, and it came out beautifully. It's sort of a self portrait project, just using a different representation.  The photos follow a theme broken into two parts. Here you have someone exploring, being introduced to new ideas, digging deeper into them, eventually becoming consumed and taken over by those ideas. In the second part, the person finds themselves again, faces down the forces that took over her life and fights them to be free and be herself again.
