Yappy Hour - April 2015
Papa Michael introduces a "Duke" boy to the Naked Sheep knit shop owner
Yesterday I got to spend the day with my favorite charity and rescue, Angels With Misplaced Wings. They had their meet and greet yesterday, where friends and supporters came out to meet their favorite angels, meet other supporters, and enjoy some mimosas and other goodies - generously donated by NoPo Paws, a local pet shop.

Those of you who have been with me for awhile will recognize their name: A few years back i did their logo, and if you see me cruising around town you'll see me sporting it on my car.
The founders behind Angels with Misplaced Wings (AWMW for short), are Jeff and Michael. For YEARS now, they've given up all of their time, money, energy and resources to caring for several disabled and differently-abled animal companions.
Members of the ohana and Mara the deaf pibble
The two daddies Jeff and Michael, almost always sacrifice personal things, to make sure that their animal friends get the best care - from regular vet visits, to freshly cooked homemade meals, to extra care like massage and acupuncture. They really do put their all into making sure that these dogs who would otherwise be thrown away, receive great care, constant companionship, and around the clock love and affection.

Recently, the daddies have began stepping up their fundraising efforts. When they started out, everything came out of their pockets - this included draining their personal retirement funds. Since they became a 501(c)(3) non-profit, they rely entirely on donations and any funding that they can secure.
Recently, they have become a bit light on funds, and are now reaching out to secure more donations and any funding that they can secure to help them continue to care for the angels.

Because I love AWMW and their mission, I will be doing everything I can to help them with fundraising efforts. Here is a list of what I will personally be doing:
20% of profits from all "Space Mari" Prints sold in the store will be going directly to the Angels.
For the month of May, 12% of all profits from design or project work will be going directly to the Angels.
Any business that donates funds or needed materials to the Angels (such as yard fencing, pet supplies, or just cash), will receive 25% off of design work, branding, or corporate photography.
I will also be donating some items such as custom jewelry, fine art prints, coupons, and gift certificates for their benefit auction, which will take place August 1, 2015.

This organization is near and dear to my heart, and they can benefit even from word of mouth. There are also other affiliate programs that they are connected with if you don't ave money to donate directly.
